When i was a little kid I saw that other kids had to put a bar of soap in their mouth if they got caught swearing. I decided if i built up a tolerance for it I'd be immune to it so I could swear all I wanted. For about a week I held the soap in my mouth while I was showering. It was bitter but i got used to it, and when my parents finally told me to do it I was so psyched to have so deftly outwitted them.
"Ha HA," I laughed, around the bar. "I've built up an immunity! This doesn't punish me at all!"
"Fine," they said. And walked away.
